How to Serve and Grow

Adult Sunday School

We have four different Adult Sunday School classes that meet each Sunday at 9:45 a.m. and use LifeWay’s The Gospel Project.  The classes are taught interactively to encourage discussion and group learning.

Children’s Sunday School

Maysville believes in pouring into and developing our children. Our facility is inviting and provides a stimulating and safe environment for children to learn and develop.  Each Sunday morning from 9:45 – 10:45 a.m., children get to participate in their own classes where Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to learn and participate through interactive discussion and hands-on projects.

We have classes for:

NURSERY birth-2 years

PRESCHOOL – 2 years old to Kindergarten

LITTLE KIDS – 1st to 3rd grade

BIG KIDS – 4th to 6th grade

Youth Sunday School
Seventh – 12th grade Youth are the future of Maysville and we desire to develop them into Christ-centered leaders as they grow and mature into who God wants them to be.  The youth meet in the youth room on Sunday mornings at 9:45 a.m. for a time of worship and interactive learning through the Bible using LifeWay’s Gospel Project curriculum.

Children’s Church

In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, Maysville Baptist periodically holds a children’s church service in conjunction with the main service. This special time gives kids more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner that may be better suited to their age and learning styles. Our friendly children’s church volunteers have an endless stream of creativity–ranging from puppet shows, to games, to object lessons.
Bible Study / Discipleship
Here at Maysville we value Discipleship. Our desire is to see each believer grow in their relationship with the Lord, being mature and fully devoted followers of Christ. Through our small group discipleship we equip you to do just that. It has been our observation that Small Group discipleship is more interactive and we get to know each other on a deeper level. We meet on Wednesday nights at 7:00pm. and would love for you to join us.

Missions is at the core of our Vision at Maysville Baptist to see all peoples in Buckingham and beyond come to know, love, and serve Jesus Christ for the glory of God.  Maysville participates in Local Missions led by our Mission Director, State Missions through the SBCV and International Missions through the International Mission Board.

Women’s Ministry

Maysville Baptist offers various times of interaction throughout the year for both women in the church and in our community with the goal of encouraging unity.  Ladies enjoy times of fellowship through Retreats, Craft Activities, Healthy Cooking Classes, our Annual Christmas Ornament Exchange and many other activities. These are refreshing times of spiritual interaction the women look forward to and you’re welcome to join.  Please see our Facebook page or call the office at (434)969-4657 for upcoming events.
